Without the appropriate Audiology support, the learners cannot achieve their full academic potential. In 2008 we launched project ‘Mamela’ – which means ‘Listen’ in isiXhosa. The aim of the project is to supply all the children at DGS with the appropriate technology and auditory intervention to allow them to succeed in an academic oral environment.

Since then we have been actively fund-raising to meet our various Audiology needs. Our main areas of need are:

          • FM systems
          • Hearing aid batteries
          • Hearing aid repair cost
          • Digital hearing aids
          • Additional speech therapist and audiologist

Thank-you for your generosity. You are helping to make a difference in the lives of many Deaf children. We appreciate all you do.
